Located
next to the Marismas del Rompido wetlands, a natural site
protected because of its ecological value, El Rompido Golf offers
visitors the chance to hone their game surrounded by scenery of
peerless beauty.
The modern Club House offers
visitors a wide range of services to relax after a demanding game
including a pro-shop offering top-name equipment and a café terrace to
enjoy a leisurely drink. There is, furthermore, a magnificent five-star
hotel.
The Club also has a fully-equipped
driving range, more than 250 m. long and 100 m. wide where the
prestigious British instructor Peter Ballingall, director of the
Golf Academy, organises classes.

The
South Round of this recent complex has aquired good fame for its
precious scenery right from the start, but the North Round is a
monument for the modern golf, intelligent, natural and entertaining.
The course is not large nor narrow: just enough to stretch out oneself
and to calculate the flight and direction of the ball. You have to play
from different hights and permit various strokes, but the course does
not frighten you nor stress you too much, only really big mistakes will
end your ball in the marshland, at a few kilometre from the hermitage
of Rocio. It is modern golf because it combines power with precision;
it is intelligent because it requires to think about the strokes; it is
natural because the course runs through precious nature and because it
does not ask for any stroke that is not reasonable. Furthermore it has
some medium-sized greens that are very interesting for
receiving the ball as well as putting. The experienced player will
enjoy needing to put in every effort, on a fine course of traditional
esthetics... although at the cost of some balls.
Classification of the North Round: 17. within the 25 best courses in Spain
