Port to America and crossroads of cultures, the Huelva Coastline is one of the mos attractive tourist destinations in all of southern Spain. Its beaches a picture of white sands framed by green pine forests.

From the Guadiana to the Guadalquivir, from the marshlands of Isla Cristina to Doñana, Light is our most prized asset, that which makes us different; hence the name "Costa de la Luz" (Coast of Light). The light takes on green hues over our beaches in a permanent outburst of life. One-third of the province of Huelva’s territory is occupied by protected natural spaces, while fully 70% of the coastal area falls under this category. As we have already indicated, access to our beaches is provided by the Seville-Huelva-Ayamonte- Portugal (E-1/A-49) motorway, which resembles a comb whose teeth link the coast with the inland regions. This roadway layout enables us to preserve protected natural spaces as the veritable "green lungs" of our coast, separating the major tourist destinations.

2,998 hours of sunlight per year, with an annual average temperature of over 18 degrees Celsius (23.5 oC being the average daily high and 12.7 oC the average daily low temperatures). Just a handful of rainy days and less than one freezing day a year on average make our beaches the meeting point for those who practise specific, specialised activities, like golfers or water sport enthusiasts, among others.

The Ocean behaves mildly with the golden sand of our beaches. The waters, rated by the health authorities as "suitable for bathing, very good quality", provide excellent bathing conditions which in the most extreme conditions do not exceed even moderate swells.
